I knew that grooming was for me when we moved to Leicestershire in 1985. At that time we had two cocker spaniels. We took the spaniels to a local groomer who worked from home. I then thought what a lovely job!! We then moved back to Swansea in 1990. Whilst showing my horse I met a lady who had her own kennels and I asked her where I could train as a dog groomer, as I wanted to start my own business. She kindly offered to train me at the kennels. After eight months of training I felt confident enough to go on my own. I then
started working from home. In 1992 Gower Dog
Grooming was set up. The business
really took off and I needed more space. I stayed there until 2000 when I
opened my shop in Gowerton, Swansea. I now have a dedicated team working with me. We pride ourselves in giving a truly caring and professional service. All dogs that come through our doors are treated as individuals and given the best caring attention that all dogs love. Some just adore the whole grooming session, some just put up with it. What ever they think of the grooming process, they feel much better for it and their owners love giving extra cuddles to their nicely groomed pets! |
